We are a group of everyday people from Bournemouth, Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, who are going to take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing mountain in the world.
To add to the challenge we have also pledged to each raise a minimum of £1000 (after costs) for Cementing Futures, an educational charity that works to bring accessible education to poverty stricken families living in slum accommodation. Cementing Futures' current mission is to offer underprivileged children living in the slums of Dhaka in Bangladesh a brighter future through education. Education is a proven method of improving the lives of families living in poverty and Cementing futures will work to provide them with access to education which will give them the skills to improve themselves.
By taking part in this challenge, our volunteers are dedicating their spare time to fund-raise the minimum sponsorship, which is a challenge in itself and on top of that they are undertaking a difficult and intense physical challenge.
Each volunteer has the choice of fund-raising the whole amount, paying it themselves or doing a bit of both. We hope you will help them by donating money directly to your favourite team member, donating to the whole team using the donate button on this page or by supporting one of the fundraising events.
