Some Kilimanjaro Facts

Kilimanjaro is the world’s highest free-standing mountain and also the tallest mountain in Africa. Kilimanjaro stands at approximately 19,340 feet above sea level at its peak.

Kilimanjaro is situated in Tanzania on the northern border with Kenya and is 205 miles South of the equator.

Money raised by the Kilimanjaro climb fundraisers is being donated to the Cementing Futures charity. Cementing Futures is a charity in the UK that is working to provide educational facilities to the underprivileged in the slum areas of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
